How to Connect Omnisend

Connecting Oshi to Omnisend syncs your customer profiles and reward activity directly into Omnisend, and hands all email delivery over to Omnisend. Once connected, Oshi stops sending its own reward emails entirely. All notifications—from purchase rewards to referral bonuses—are handled through the Omnisend automations you build.
Steps
Step 1: Get Your Omnisend API Key
- Log into your Omnisend account
- Go to Store Settings > Integrations & API > API Keys
- Click Create API Key
- Name the key (e.g. "Oshi Integration")
- Ensure the key has Contacts and Events permissions
- Copy the key before navigating away
Step 2: Connect Omnisend in Oshi
- From your Oshi dashboard, go to Connections in the left sidebar
- Find Omnisend and click to open it
- Paste your API Key
- Click Connect
Once connected, Oshi will begin syncing your customer and loyalty data into Omnisend.
Step 3: Understand the Data Sync
Once connected, Oshi syncs customer profiles and reward activity into Omnisend automatically:
- Customer profiles are enriched with loyalty properties including current sats balance, VIP tier, and personal referral link
- Reward events are sent to Omnisend in real time for every purchase reward, referral bonus, social engagement reward, and affiliate commission
- Sync timing is immediate if you're just starting out. If you already have a large rewards history, the initial sync may take up to three hours
Step 4: Build Your Omnisend Automations
With Omnisend connected, Oshi no longer sends its own reward emails. You'll need to create automations in Omnisend to handle all customer notifications—including purchase rewards, referral bonuses, social engagement rewards, and reminders.
If you ever need to switch back to Oshi's built-in emails, you can toggle the Omnisend connection off from the Connections page in your Oshi dashboard. Oshi will resume sending its own emails immediately.
