How to Manage Square Locations

If your Square account has multiple locations, you can control exactly which ones participate in your Oshi rewards program. By default, rewards are enabled at all locations — but you can switch to specific locations at any time.

Accessing Location Settings

  1. From your Oshi dashboard, go to Connections in the left sidebar
  2. Click on your Square connection
  3. Your location settings appear below the connection status

All Locations Mode

When the "Give rewards at all Square locations" toggle is turned on, every active location in your Square account will participate in your rewards program. This is the default setting.

This mode is the simplest option if you want a consistent rewards experience across your entire business. Any new locations you add to your Square account in the future will automatically be included.

Selecting Specific Locations

If you only want to run rewards at certain locations:

Step 1: Turn Off the All Locations Toggle

Switch off "Give rewards at all Square locations." A list of your Square locations will appear, divided into two sections: active and inactive.

Step 2: Choose Your Locations

  • Active locations are currently giving rewards. Click a location to remove it from the active list.
  • Inactive locations are not giving rewards. Click a location to add it to the active list.
Important: At least one location must be active at all times. You cannot disable every location.

Step 3: Save Your Changes

Click Save to apply your selection. Only transactions from your active locations will generate rewards going forward.

When to Use Specific Locations

Selecting specific locations is useful when:

  • You're piloting rewards — Test the program at one or two locations before rolling it out company-wide.
  • Different business models per location — Some locations may have different margin profiles where rewards make more sense than others.
  • Seasonal or temporary locations — Keep rewards focused on your permanent storefronts.
  • Franchise or multi-brand setups — Run rewards only at the locations that are part of the promotion.

How It Affects Transactions

  • All locations mode — Every purchase from any active Square location earns rewards.
  • Specific locations mode — Only purchases from your selected locations earn rewards. Transactions from unselected locations are processed by Square as normal but will not trigger Oshi rewards.

Changing your location settings only affects future transactions. Any rewards already earned from past transactions are not affected.
