How to Set Up Social Engagement Rewards

Last updated February 28, 2026

Social engagement rewards let you incentivize customers to follow and engage with your brand across social platforms by offering Bitcoin rewards (sats) for each platform they interact with. It is a simple way to grow your audience while giving your customers a reason to connect with you everywhere you have a presence.

Note: Social rewards require a primary reward program (purchases or referrals) to be active first.

Step 1: Navigate to Social Engagement

From your merchant dashboard, go to Loyalty Program and select the Social tab. This is where you manage all of your social engagement reward settings.

Step 2: Add Your Social Platforms

Click the platform buttons at the top of the page to add the social accounts you want to reward customers for following. Oshi supports 11 platforms:

  • Facebook
  • Instagram
  • X (Twitter)
  • Threads
  • TikTok
  • YouTube
  • LinkedIn (company or personal)
  • Newsletter
  • Nostr
  • Telegram
  • Rumble

For each platform you add:

  1. Enter your profile URL or handle in the input field.
  2. Set a sats bonus — the number of sats customers earn for following or subscribing. The default suggestion is 300 sats per platform.
  3. To remove a platform, click the X button next to it.
Tip: Oshi can automatically detect your social profiles from your website. If your store's website is connected, you may see platforms auto-populated when you first visit this page.

Step 3: Save and Activate

Click Save Changes to store your configuration. Then confirm that the Social Rewards Program Status shows Active at the bottom of the page. If it does not, toggle it on before leaving.

Optional Configuration

LinkedIn Profile Type

When adding LinkedIn, you can choose between a Company page or a Personal profile. This affects how the follow link is formatted for your customers, so make sure you select the option that matches the LinkedIn presence you want to promote.

Custom Sats Amounts

You can set different reward amounts for different platforms. For example, you might offer more sats for YouTube subscriptions (which require more effort from the customer) than for Twitter follows. Adjust each platform's sats bonus individually to reflect the level of engagement involved.

Email Preview

The right side of the Social tab shows a preview of what the social rewards email looks like to your customers. It lists each active platform with its reward amount and displays the total sats available. Use this preview to make sure everything looks correct before going live.
