Getting Started with Oshi
Last updated March 6, 2026
When you first sign in to your Oshi dashboard, you'll see a launch checklist that guides you through setup. This article walks through the recommended order and what each step involves.
Step 1: Set Up Your Business Profile
Add your business name, logo, transparent logo, cover image, brand colors, and contact information. This is what your customers see in rewards emails and the customer portal — so get it looking right before you go live.
Step 2: Configure Your Rewards Program
Set up your rewards before connecting your store or funding your balance. This way, everything is ready to go when transactions start coming through.
- Purchase rewards — Set your reward percentage (e.g., 1% back in Bitcoin). This is the foundation of your program.
- Referral rewards — Configure what referrers and referred friends earn. Between purchase rewards and referrals, you need at least one active — these are the two ways customers get initiated into your program.
- Social engagement rewards (optional) — Reward customers for following your social accounts. Not required, but worth setting up.
- VIP tiers (optional) — Create spending-based reward levels for your best customers.
- Ways to redeem (optional, Shopify/Square only) — Create offers where customers can exchange rewards for discounts at your store.
Step 3: Connect Your Store
Link your ecommerce platform or point of sale so Oshi can detect purchases and issue rewards. Oshi supports Shopify, Square, WooCommerce, BTCPay Server, Zaprite, and Vinoshipper.
Step 4: Fund Your Rewards Balance
Add funds to your rewards balance so you have sats available to distribute. You can pay with dollars (via Stripe) or with Bitcoin (no fees). Also set up auto recharge so your balance stays topped up automatically.
Step 5: Launch Your Program
Once all required steps are complete, a Launch button appears on your dashboard. Click it to activate your program — your business goes live and customers can start earning Bitcoin rewards.
After Launch
Once you're live, consider expanding your program:
- Set up your Oshi Network storefront — Customize how your brand appears on the Oshi marketplace.
- Add custom products — If you don't use Shopify or WooCommerce, manually add products to the marketplace.
- Set up an affiliate program — Recruit content creators and influencers to promote your business.
- Configure the lock-up period — Control when customers can withdraw their rewards.
- Invite your team — Add team members to help manage your dashboard.
- Set up auto recharge — If you haven't already, make sure your balance stays funded.
