Redemption Terms

These Redemption Terms explain how rewards earned through the Oshi platform may be redeemed. These terms apply to all customers who earn rewards through participating merchants and are incorporated by reference into Oshi's Terms of Service.

These terms are between you and Oshi Technologies, Inc. ("Oshi," "we," "us," or "our").

1. Nature of Rewards

Rewards earned through Oshi are promotional loyalty rewards, not cash, stored value, or a bank account.

Rewards:

  • have no cash value,
  • are not legal tender,
  • are not insured,
  • and exist only within the Oshi platform until redeemed or withdrawn in accordance with applicable terms.

2. Merchant-Specific Redemption

Redemptions are merchant-specific.

Each participating merchant determines:

  • which rewards are eligible for redemption,
  • the form of redemption (e.g., store credit, discount, coupon),
  • redemption rules, exclusions, and limitations,
  • availability and expiration.

Oshi does not issue merchant discounts or store credits and does not control merchant fulfillment.

3. Oshi's Role

Oshi provides the technical platform that records rewards and facilitates redemption options on behalf of merchants.

Oshi:

  • does not guarantee redemption,
  • does not guarantee merchant participation,
  • is not responsible for merchant refusal, changes, or fulfillment issues,
  • is not the issuer of merchant discounts, credits, or offers.

Any dispute regarding merchant redemption must be resolved directly with the merchant.

4. Redemption for Store Credit or Discounts

Some merchants allow rewards to be redeemed for store credit, coupons, or discounts.

Such redemptions:

  • are governed by the merchant's rules,
  • may be subject to minimums, exclusions, or expiration,
  • may be modified or discontinued by the merchant at any time.

Redeemed rewards are extinguished upon use and cannot be reversed.

5. Withdrawal of Rewards as Bitcoin

Where permitted, customers may withdraw eligible rewards as Bitcoin via the Lightning Network.

Withdrawals:

  • are optional and not guaranteed,
  • are subject to availability, technical constraints, and minimums,
  • may incur network or processing fees,
  • require a valid Lightning invoice or address provided by the customer.

Oshi does not custody, transmit, or control Bitcoin. Withdrawals are processed by third-party service providers.

6. Expiration, Forfeiture, and Breakage

Rewards may expire or be forfeited due to:

  • failure to claim within required timeframes,
  • merchant program changes,
  • inactivity,
  • fraud, abuse, or violation of applicable terms.

Unclaimed, expired, reversed, or forfeited rewards constitute promotional breakage and do not create any obligation for Oshi or the merchant to provide cash or replacement value.

7. Program Changes and Termination

Merchants may modify or discontinue reward programs at any time.

If a merchant leaves the Oshi platform, Oshi may:

  • honor outstanding rewards,
  • convert them to alternative redemption options, or
  • expire them after reasonable notice.

Oshi does not guarantee continued availability of any redemption option.

8. No Cash or Monetary Rights

Rewards:

  • are not redeemable for cash or U.S. dollars,
  • do not represent stored value,
  • do not create a debtor-creditor relationship,
  • and do not give rise to any property right outside the Oshi platform.
